Collection comprises mainly photocopies of advocacy and op-ed editorial-style advertisements produced by Mobil's public relations staff beginning in the early 1970s. Topics include the environment, oil crisis, fuel prices, political propaganda and other issues affecting the corporate image of oil companies as well as touching on public affairs subjects interpreted through the perspective of corporate business and the oil industry. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History.
