- Biographical / historical:
- Advertising Club of New York was founded in 1896 as the Sphinx Club. Later is was the Advertising Men's League, and then incorporated in 1915 as Advertising Club of New York. The annual Andy Awards was launched in 1964. A philanthropic organization, the Ad Club Foundation, was established in 1984.
