Scope and content:

This series is divided into two sub-series focused on, respectively, the administration of the Women Express Inc. foundation and the teen girls' magazine Teen Voices that it published. The administration records contain financial documents and newsletters. A file Amoroso entitled "Rosters" contains lists of staff, volunteers, and members of Women Express Inc. over the years. Other files contain documents detailing the organizational structure of the foundation, a personal "goal setting" sheet filled out by Amoroso, and a pamphlet about the Sister to Sister Program run by the foundation.

The second sub-series focuses more exclusively on Teen Voices. Promotional letters, ads, and packets give details about the magazine and its history. The headlines of each issue from volumes 1-12 are included in a list. Media references and profiles of the magazine and Amoroso are archived; these range from Ms. magazine to newspaper clippings to a book entitled Feminist Fatale (1991) edited by Paula Kamen. One particular article entitled "Abused As a Child" was submitted by a teen reader.

Concept papers, business plans, financial records, planning documents, and reports describe the business side of the magazine, while the correspondence, photograph, and notes files reflect the more personal side. Files contain biographies of and articles/speeches by Amoroso regarding her role with TV. Also archived is a file relevant to a thesis about TV written by Katie Kruckemeyer for PhD candidacy at George Washington University. The headlines of each issue from volumes 1-12 are included in a list. Amoroso's inventory describes handwritten notes as a thank you speech "from Anastasia (editor and executive committee) to Alison." A video of volunteers and teens preparing an installment of Teen Voices for mailing is also included.
