- Scope and content:
-
This subseries contains drafts of Stopping Rape: Successful Survival Strategies, a book Bart co-authored with Patricia H. O'Brien, and other papers related to the book's publication. Published in 1985, Stopping Rape expanded upon research Bart conducted in 1977, when she interviewed 94 survivors of rape or attempted rape in order to generate a list of survival strategies. In addition to chapter drafts, this subseries also includes advertising and publicity related to the book's publication and the underlying research study.
