Subseries contains correspondence, clippings, professional documents, meeting minutes, printed matter, and photographs deriving from Diamonstein-Spielvogel's appointment in 2010 by the Obama administration as Commissioner to the American Battle Monuments Commission, an organization which commemorates the service, achievements, and sacrifice of U.S. armed forces, and manages overseas military cemeteries, memorials, monuments, and markers.
Includes materials on Diamonstein-Spielvogel's travels to speak at ceremonies held at American military memorial sites such as the Cambridge, Somme, Suresne, Sicily-Rome, and Korean American Cemeteries.
