Scope and content:

Files in this subseries in paper and electronic format relate entirely to the National Endowment for the Humanities grant which provided major funding for the Behind the Veil Project. Files begin with the planning and application process, and end with final reports and correspondence. Packets include narratives and data related to the scope of the project, staffing, budgets, detailed proposals, and desired outcomes. Arranged in rough chronological order.

Processing information:

Library staff screened these records for sensitive materials such as Social Security numbers and employment records and either removed or redacted this information. However, some similar materials may remain, and are still governed by U.S Federal privacy and confidentiality laws. Titles are transcribed from the original labels on folders and diskettes, and in some cases have been enhanced by library staff with notes or information in brackets.
