Scope and content:

These files in paper and electronic format relate to the wide variety of outreach and publications created by Behind the Veil staff and Duke University academic faculty from 1990s to the 2000s. Many of the files relate to the BTV project which resulted in the book Remembering Jim Crow: African Americans Tell About Life in the Segregated South, published in 2001, edited by Duke University historians and BTV project founders William Chafe, Raymond Gavins, and Robert Korstad of Duke. A few other files may be graphics created in the BTV offices. Exhibit planning and production are included in this group. The files are arranged in rough date order and within alphabetically by title.

Processing information:

Titles are transcribed from the original labels on folders and diskettes, and in some cases have been enhanced by library staff with notes or information in brackets.
