Agnes Cohen Bogart was a labor activist, editor and public relations specialist based in New York.
Agnes Bogart was born Agnes Cohen in New York in 1917. She graduated from the University of Chicago (BA in Economics, 1936) and worked as an editor and public relations consultant for a number of firms and labor unions: 1937-1938 David A. Smart Publisher (1937-1938); Esquire-Coronet (1937-1939); Vocational Trends Magazine (1939-1941); Amalgamated Clothing Workers (1941-1944); Textile Workers Union of America (1944-1951); American Management Association (1952-1954, 1969-1970); National Foremen's Institute (1954-1965); Industrial Relations Counselors/Organization Resources Counselors (1965-1971). Bogart served as Director of Publications and Public Relations for The Equitable Life Assurance Society from 1972-1989. Agnes married sociologist Leo Bogart in 1948. She died in New York in 2013.
