"Bedroom, January 2003" is an 8x10 selenium-toned black-and-white gelatin silver print on fiber based paper.

Biographical / historical:

Richard S. Buswell lives in Helena, Montana where he was born and raised. He photographs the remains of human habitation on the abandoned homesteads, farms, and mines that he comes across while hiking the surrounding countryside. His photographs are part of the permanent collection of many museums, including the Smithsonian, Boston's Museum of Fine Art, the Corcoran, George Eastman House, and the Library of Congress.

Acquisition information:
The Richard S. Buswell Photographs were received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a gift in 2011.
