Scope and content:

These administrative records document the operation, management, and fundraising efforts of the Carolina Justice Policy Center (CJPC) from its founding in 1975 to 2015. The largest series documents CJPC's efforts to secure grant funding. In addition to routine office files, the series also includes a large group of conference materials, and many files of meeting minutes taken at CJPC meetings and other events attended by CJPC staff. Oversize materials include charts and tearsheets of notes.

Collection restrictions:

Access note. Collection contains some fragile audiovisual/photographic formats that may need to be reformatted before use. Contact Research Services for access.

Access restricted. Collection contains correspondence to and from incarcerated persons who are still living. These files have been segregated and are closed until 2060 or the death of the individual. Materials by and about deceased inmates are open to research access. Contact Research Services for more information.
