Scope and content:

These materials consist of newspaper clippings, correspondence, interviews, case details, and articles about the Wilmington 10. Items of correspondence are chiefly from churches who were building support in their defense, N.C. state corrections officials, Superior Court Judges, and White House officials.

Biographical / historical:
The "Wilmington 10" were nine young Black men and one Black woman from Wilmington, NC, who were convicted wrongfully in 1971 of arson and conspiracy, given long sentences, and pardoned by Gov. Cooper in 2013.
