This second largest series in the collection documents CJPC's many projects spanning several decades, which were either developed independently, or through partnerships with other organizations, or through committee work. It includes some materials on the Prison and Jail Project. The records in the series chiefly focus on prison reform, justice and equity for inmates and former inmates, mental health, juveniles in the courts, sentencing reform, and community networks for those in need. Subseries descriptions include lists of projects or topics represented by the materials.
For projects related to CJPC's work against the death penalty, see the Death Penalty series. The bulk of the paper records relating to the Prison and Jail Project can be found in the Alan McGregor Files, also in the Death Penalty series. For work focused on legislative action by year, see the Legislative series.
