Subseries houses resource files organized by topic, used by Carolina Justice Policy Center staff to gather statistics, quotations, strategizing, and background information. The majority of the materials comprise articles, essays, and clippings, all of which relate to the history and status of capital punishment in NC, in other states, and in other countries. There are also many writings against the death penalty, as well as articles about administrations or laws enabling it. Other items include handwritten notes, memos, fliers and handouts, mailing lists, correspondence, maps, charts, and statistics. The earliest date represents a photocopy of a 1936 publication with quotations.
