Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was a feature film released by MGM Studios and Avon Productions in September 1958. Loew's Poli Theater opened as Poli Palace in 1922 in Bridgeport. It was the largest theater in Connecticut at the time. Sold to Loew's chain 1939. Renamed Loew's Palace. Closed 1975. Listed on National Register of Historic Places 1979.
