- Biographical / historical:
- According to a letter by Teofila Bobrowska, Kazimierz Mirecki finished a painting of Conrad's father a few weeks before his death in 1869. Photographic copies were then made by Kraków photographer Rzewuski for family and friends. Conrad later sent a copy of this image to his friend Francis Warrington Dawson II, whose papers are also in the Rubenstein Library.
