Warrington Dawson's Collection of French Manuscripts, 1386-1786

Scope and content:

An avid collector of French manuscripts, this series includes Dawson's own personal collection he acquired during his time in France. Dawson's collection relates to his interest in genealogy and concern the de Bethune, de Crequi, Chevalier, and related families, and include a few parchments concerning Maximilien de Béthune, Duc de Sully, and Henry IV, King of France.
