The series title comes from an exhibit and a book by Earl Dotter, and documents the hazardous work of farming, construction, public services such as trash collecting, and chemical industries, and illustrates conditions for workers in those occupations. Three posters for the exhibit, each with a different illustration by Dotter, can be found in the Printed Materials series.
