Scope and content:

These color photographs were taken by photographer Jim Dow as he traveled through Argentina, mostly in the province and city of Buenos Aires. There are many images of food stands and restaurants, as well as interiors and exteriors of small businesses, theaters, rail stations, and shrines. One image shows a defaced mural of former First Lady of Argentina Eva Perón.

Original titles and negative identifiers were created by the photographer.

Material specific details:
The archival pigment photographs in this series were printed by Jim Dow in May 2023, using an Epson P5000 printer and Canson Baryta Photographique II paper. Approximate measurements for the handling prints are: sheet size, 8½x11 inches; image size, 8x10 inches. Approximate measurements for the exhibit-quality prints are: sheet size, 13x19 inches; image size, 12x15 inches.
