Major League Baseball Stadium Panoramas, 1968-1982

Extent:
3.0 Linear Feet (2 oversize boxes)
23.2 Gigabytes (29 TIFF files)
Scope and content:

These color images of Major League Baseball stadiums capture mostly unpopulated views of some of the most well-known stadiums across the United States, with a few also in Canada. The images are presented in triptych format, with the three image panels creating sweeping vistas of the stadium shot chiefly from the stands.

The photographs were taken mostly from 1980 to 1982, with a few taken in 1968, 1973, and 1975. Some of these stadiums have since been demolished or are no longer in use.

A set of single-image prints of stadiums and other sports venues around the world is also present in the collection. These offer details not present in the panoramic views.

Original titles and negative identifiers were created by the photographer.

Material specific details:
The panoramic prints were printed as archival pigment inkjets in 2021 using an Epson P5000 printer. They are arranged in two sets, each with slight size variations. Within the sets, each image comes in two size formats: a handling print and a larger exhibit-quality print. Prints in the smaller-sized set measure: sheet size, 16 x 31 inches and 17 x 31, with the image size for all prints measuring 10.5 x 24.5 inches. Prints in the larger-sized set measure: sheet size, 16 x 37 inches and 17 x 37 inches; with the image size for all measuring 8.5 x 30.4 inches. Original titles and negative identifiers were created by the photographer.
