Scope and content:

These images of sports stadiums were created by photographer Jim Dow from single color photographs composed into triptichs and other multi-paneled sets to form large panoramas ranging in size from 16x31 inches to 17x59 inches. The stadiums are mostly outdoors and are home to soccer, minor league baseball, and basketball teams, located in Argentina, Canada, England, Mexico, and the U.S. Most images include spectators; they also reveal details such as stadium advertising and the cityscape or landscape surrounding the stadium.

The Stadium Panorama series also includes two panoramic images from other series: one each from the American Studies (Fenway Park) and England (British Library Reading Room) portfolios.

Titles and negative identifiers were created by the photographer. All dimensions are approximate. For each of the 90 unique image compositions, the photographer created two sets of prints: one for handling and one for exhibit purposes, making for a total of 180 physical prints.

Arrangement:

Prints are arranged in chronological order roughly by year and within, by size. They are further subdivided into two groups: handling prints for general access, and finished prints for exhibit use only.

Physical facet:
180 prints (90 unique images)
Related material:

Related images are located in the MLB (Major League Baseball) Stadium series (also panoramic prints composed of multiple images) and Stadium Singles series (single images).
