Scope and content:

Taken by photographer Jim Dow in England, Scotland, and Wales between 1970-1997 and during a return trip in 2017, these color photographs chiefly focus on the interiors and exteriors of storefronts, food shops, and other small businesses, and sports venues such as cricket grounds. THere are also some photographs taken in England in the Jobs and Commissions series.

Original titles and negative identifiers were created by the photographer.

Material specific details:
The archival pigment photographs in this series were printed by Jim Dow from August to October 2022, using an Epson P5000 printer and Canson Baryta Photographique II paper; the two British Library panoramic prints were printed in June 2022. Approximate measurements for the handling prints are: sheet size, 8½x11 inches; image size, 8x10 inches. Approximate measurements for the exhibit-quality prints are: sheet size, 13x19 inches; image size, 12x15 inches.
