Hugh James Rose (1795-1838) was a priest in the Anglican church, a writer, and a theologian. He wrote The State of the Protestant Religion in Germany in 1825 and was the founder of British Magazine in 1832.
Sam Hammond (1948-2021) was the Duke Chapel carillonneur from 1968-2018 and was a music librarian and rare book cataloger in the Duke University Libraries. He attended Duke as an undergraduate student from 1964-1968.
