Contains Frederick Herzog's research files and newspaper and magazine clippings on religion, civil rights, labor organizing, racial issues, protest in North Carolina and nationally, and other topics related to theology. Noteable materials document Herzog's involvement with the American Academy of Religion (AAR), his work with black churches and in Black Studies and theology, his work in Peru, and the relationship between the United Church of Christ (UCC) and the Evangelical Church of the Union (EKU) in Germany. Herzog's committee work in the Duke Divinity School and documents regarding various faculty matters, including faculty meeting minutes, are included in a Committees Subseries. The series is arranged alphabetically by subject.
