Contains correspondence to and from Frederick Herzog. Main language is English but a significant portion of the series is in German. The series begins with correspondence by individuals and groups with whom Herzog corresponded frequently, including correspondence with students and colleagues, presses, and various organizations; these are arranged alphabetically according to their last name. This is followed by a section of general correspondence arranged chronologically by year then alphabetically by last name. Significant correspondents include Brevard S. Childs, J.L. Mays, Eberhard Jüngel, Ernst Käsemann, Jürgen Moltmann, Gustavo Gutiérrez and James Cone.
