Series is divided into two subseries: Publications; and Other Printed Materials. The Publications Subseries includes reports, manuals, trade journals and serial publications relating to the transit advertising industry. The Other Printed Materials Subseries includes clippings relating to labor disputes and strikes in the transit industry between 1955 and 1975 (Hudson Tubes, the Connecticut Railway and Lighting Co., and the Connecticut Company bus system). Also included are several car card advertisements for General Electric from the 1950s. Arranged alphabetically.
Large format items have been removed to Oversize Materials. A note so indicating has been inserted in the finding aid at the item's original location. Where an entire folder has been so removed, the folder title will appear in brackets to indicate its logical location within the finding aid.
