- Scope and content:
-
Series includes several draft manuscripts of Holsaert's books, poetry, short stories, and notes, both published and unpublished. Holsaert's writings feature both fiction and nonfiction incorporating her life experiences as a woman raised in a biracial household, as a daughter of two mothers, and as a mother herself. Writings also reflect her social justice activism, particularly her work with SNCC and feminist and LGBTQ+ movements. The writings span from Holsaert's teenage years through her later adulthood. Also included are correspondence with publishers, personal sketchbooks and other art, and her published work appearing in journals.
