On the back of this clipping of a portrait of Lacaze is an engraving entitled "Les petites causes produisent souvent de grands effets," showing a woman with two faces in the middle of a scene from the French Revolution, giving birth to a baby, who is received from under her skirts by an officer. A fragment of an article title under the image reads "accouchement de la révolution."
