Scope and content:

Series contains assorted printed materials related to rape and sexual assault prevention. This series is organized into three sub-series: Women's Martial Arts and Self-Defense Resources, Rape and Sexual Assault Resources, and Child and Teenagers Assault Prevention. The sub-series Women's Martial Arts and Self-Defense Resources includes materials related to women self-defense groups, instructors, and agencies supported by government. This sub-series also includes also includes the magazines Fighting Woman News and Black Belt Woman. The sub-series Rape and Sexual Assault Resources includes a selection of articles and books about martial arts, self-defense, rape prevention, mainstream (male-dominated self-defense), the feminist self-defense movement, model mugging, confrontation, and assertiveness. The sub-series Child and Teenagers Assault Prevention includes short stories and pamphlets about this topic.
