Contains printed materials collected by Hyde, created by COFO, SNCC, and the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. Pamphlets and other circular letters relate to the Mississippi Freedom Summer project and participating organizations. Select titles include: "The General Condition of the Mississippi Negro" (1963 SNCC paper); "Some aspects of Black-White problems as seen by field staff;" "Prospectus for the Mississippi Freedom Summer;" "Genocide in Mississippi" (SNCC pamphlet); "A Primer for delegates to the Democratic National Convention who haven't heard about the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party;" "Security Handbook," issued for the Laurel project and including Hyde's notes.
