This subseries contains material on human rights abuses in Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, China, East Timor/Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. The bulk of material is from the Burma and Cambodia archives. Records include correspondence regarding funding and other support for the archives, conference materials and conference travel itineraries, numerous reports from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International on various human rights conflicts in the Asia Pacific region as well as a number of reports and other materials from the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children. Other records and correspondence include IMI's contact with other human rights organizations operating out of the Asia Pacific. Further audiovisual material on Burma can be found in the International Monitor Institute Burma Archive records, also at the Rubenstein Library.
