Scope and content:

The bulk of slides in this series comprise images taken of materials existing elsewhere in the JWT Archives and used as the basis for presentations made by the Archives staff as well as by other departments within the agency. Later additions to the slide collection include portraits and snapshots added and interfiled over time.

The series is organized into five self-evident categories: Clients; Offices; People; Miscellaneous Slides; and Microfiche. Clients and Offices are both organized into Domestic and International, and therein alphabetically: Clients by name; and Offices by country and city. People are organized alphabetically by name. Miscellaneous slides include group snapshots; logos and publications (primarily images of covers and title pages); and intact slide shows. Microfiche primarily contains images of client print advertisements, along with house advertisements for competitive agencies, and some new business presentations.

Collection is open for research.

However, nitrate negatives and some other items may not be accessible due to preservation concerns.

Additionally, reproduction-quality copies of Pond's Advertising Photographs may not be produced for non-JWT users.

Researchers must register and agree to copyright and privacy laws before using this collection.

All or portions of this collection may be housed off-site in Duke University's Library Service Center. The library may require up to 48 hours to retrieve these materials for research use.
