- Founded in 1864, the J. Walter Thompson Company (JWT) is one of the oldest and largest enduring advertising agencies in the United States. It is headquartered in New York. Derek Norman was an advertising executive who worked at the JWT London and Chicago offices and later at Leo Burnett agency in Chicago, Ill. Collection includes print advertisements, advertising designs and layouts, storyboards, audio and video cassettes and films of radio and television commercials and other printed materials. British and American companies represented include Chicago Tribune, Commonwealth Edison, John White Footwear, Kellogg, Kodak, Kraft, Lemco stock tablets, Northern Telecom (Nortel) and Oscar Mayer.
