Refers to preparations for organizing Lawson's corps. Plans changes on account of present invasion. Suggests the cavalry be sent in the neighborhood of the enemy as soon as they are ready. Infantry can repair to rendezvous at Cabbin Point. Blank Powers enclosed for subscribing men on the march. Commissions will be issued as soon as your returns are in. Approve your appointment of Major Jones to command the horse. Militia called from your county may enter your command if they choose.
