This series encompasses Lyon's work as staff photographer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, 1962-1964, and his ongoing engagement with the Southern American Civil Rights Movement through his writing, photography, and film projects. Includes Lyon's original contact sheets, work prints, and proof prints from the 1960s; Lyon's notes, correspondence, and collected printed ephemera from SNCC and other organizations; Chuck Kelton's fine prints of Lyon's work; and materials from Lyon's book publications and film projects, dating from the 1960s through 2020.
