Born 1873, New York. Founded MacManus Agency, Detroit, 1927; merge to form MacManus John & Adams 1934; MacManus died 1940, Ontario. 1970 merger created D'Arcy MacManus; 1972 merger D'Arcy MacManus Masius; 1985 D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles; 1996 MacManus Group.

Acquisition information:
The Theodore MacManus letter to W.H. Solle was received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a purchase in 2016.
