This series includes 607 items. Formats represented include pamphlets, clippings, and newspapers. Many are illustrated with photographs.

A great number of these pamphlets were either received from former students of Mazzoni's, or acquired through his political activities as Senator of Italy. There are a number of pamphlets scattered throughout the collection concerning the development of aviation in Italy. A number of pamphlets concern Galileo and other important scientists. Others concern agriculture, engineering projects (particularly hydraulic), botany, and geology. There is even a pamphlet on the psychology of the dog! Pamphlets concerning cartography were also classified under this heading.

Individuals represented in this group include Giuseppe Boffito, Cesare Lombroso, Guglielmo Volpi, Galileo Galilei (S), Leonardo da Vinci (S), Ristoro d'Arezzo (S), Cosimo Noferi (S), Guglielmo Marconi (S), and Cecco D'Ascoli (S).

Not included in this grouping are works having to do with non-Italian science or scientists; look under "History." Also, the lives and works of individual scientists will be found primarily under "Biography."
