Zhao Jiarong (b. 1931) is a resident of Liujia Village, Zhuliang Town, Qingzhou City, Shandong Province. In this interview, Zhao talks about his family's experience of begging for food during the Great Famine. He also recalls that some fellow villagers ate dead bodies or sold their children to feed the rest of the family. The filmmaker's description of this interview has been translated into English.
赵家荣(1931年生)是山东省青州市朱良镇刘家村村民。在这段口述中,赵老人描述了大饥荒时期举家要饭的经历,同时老人也回忆了当时村民为了饱腹吃死人、卖孩子的情况。
