Yan Daru | 晏大如, 2010

Scope and content:

Yan Daru (b. 1928) is a resident of Wangjiayan Village, Baiyun Town, Shimen County, Hunan Province. In this interview, Yan recalls how people stripped to waist to build the Heping Reservoir, and how the lazy villager were punished by the production team leaders to kneel on the urine bucket.

晏大如(1928年生)是湖南省石门县白云乡王家堰村村民。在这段口述中,晏老人讲述了1959年修和平水库时号召光着上身劳动,干活偷懒的村民被生产队干部罚跪尿桶的情况。
