Scope and content:

Su Jiajun (b.1939) is a resident of Wanbaochang Village, Tongchang Town, Yimen County, Yunnan Province. He was born to a landlord family. During the Land Reform, his family property was confisticated. Their land, their house and household items including clothes were taken away. The adults were prinsoned. He said that there was not enough food at Commue Canteen. Su knows Wen Hui's grandfather, who was a landlord and county mayor; was sentenced for 10 years of forced labor. He was released in 1960 and returned to his village. He worked at People's Commue and died; liked to read books and died two years later. The transcript of this interview has been translated into English.

苏家俊1939年出生。他的家庭属于地主,土改时家里被抄家,家中物品和田产都被分给村里的贫下中农。家中的大人被关。苏老人说吃伙食团吃不饱。苏老人认识采访人的爷爷(解放前是地主并做过县长,解放后被判刑在劳改农场10年)。1960年采访人的爷爷从劳改农场释放,回到家乡村子。苏老人回忆,采访人爷爷从劳改农场回到村子后的生活:每天在生产队干活,喜欢看书,回来两年多后死去。
