Tian Hongzhen | 田宏珍, 2012

Scope and content:

Tian Hongzhen (b. 1943) is a resident of Jimingqiao Village, Baiyun Town, Shimen County, Hunan Province. In this interview, Tian recalls that both men and women were mobilized to strip to the waist when constructing the Heping Reservoir. Tian was spared thanks to her unmarried status.

田宏珍（1943年生）是湖南省石门县白云乡鸡鸣桥村村民。在这段口述中，田老人回忆了大跃进时期修建和平水库，男女都得赤膊上阵的情况，田老人因为还未婚嫁才得以幸免。
