Scope and content:

Gao Fulian (b.1932) is a resident of Xiangzidian Village, Yinhua Town, Shanyang County, Shangluo City, Shanxi Province. In 1958, her husband was village party branch secretary and was accused corruption. Their houses was raided by the revolutionary villagers who took away all their grain and cloth. She gave birth to her second child earlier than year and was soon sent to build the terrace despite of her bound feet. Her husband was sent to work at Xigou steel factory. Her mother was in her 90s and the whole family starved. The transcript of this interview has been translated into English.

高福莲1932年出生，是陕西省商洛市山阳县银花镇湘子店村的村民。高老人讲1958年她丈夫当支书被批贪污被抄家，粮食布匹全被拿走。她年初生下第二个孩子，之后随是小脚却被派去修梯田，丈夫被派到西沟铁厂干活。她母亲当时九十多岁，全家挨饿。
