Scope and content:

Wang Xiangzhen (b. 1938) is a resident of Jimingqiao Village, Baiyun Town, Shimen County, Hunan Province. In this interview, Wang recounts how the dinners to recall past bitterness eaten at the Chinese New Year, and the consequential conflict between her and her mother-in-law caused by a small bow of meat.

王香珍(1938年生)是湖南省石门县白云乡鸡鸣桥村村民。在这段口述中,王老人回忆了兴办食堂时期过年吃"忆苦餐",以及过年因为一小碗肉跟婆婆闹矛盾的故事。
