The Personal Materials series includes the Murray Brother's personal papers and effects. Included are newspaper clippings from the late 1960s and early 1970s about the Murray Brothers' collecting activities. Also included are sketches and photos of Terry and Edwin Murray as well as photos of their mother Loucile. The series includes correspondence with Bruce Coville, Erik Larsen, Gardner Fox, James Childress, Richard Hurt, and Richard Minter. It also includes a Tarzan Scrapbook, which illustrates Tarzan fandom in Durham.
