The Audiovisual materials series contains video and audio tapes as well as photographic material documenting NCHR's work, as well as Haiti and Haitians more generally.
- Arrangement:

The series is arranged into two subseries. The Cassettes subseries contains VHS and audio cassettes, some produced by NCHR and its staff, some are recordings off radio or television, and some are commerical productions. Please see access restriction note for this subseries. The Photographs subseries contains extensive photographs related to NCHR's work. Soem photos were taken by NCHR staff during the course of thier work such as during investigative missions to Haiti or while conducting training in Haiti. Also included are the works of professional photographers such as Maggie Steeber and Chantal Regnault. Topics include elections, demonstrations and rallies, human rights abuses, Guantanamo, immigration, and the various cities, towns, and landscapes of Haiti.

Collection is open for research with the following exceptions. The Audio-Visual Series contains fragile audiovisual/photographic formats that may need to be reformatted before use. Also, the Legal Series, Individual Cases Subseries, contains potentially sensitive information. Contact Research Services for Access to these series.

All or portions of this collection may be housed off-site in Duke University's Library Service Center. The library may require up to 48 hours to retrieve these materials for research use.
