Box contains an addition of items related to NC Mutual Life Insurance Company, chiefly printed material, originally located in the Asa and Elna Spaulding papers at Duke University. Items include various President's reports, speeches, and annual statement pamphlets, 1961-1980s; a group of papers and essays written by various authors on African Americans and socio-economic issues, 1966, which includes a 1966 essay by Craufurd Goodwin, Duke University economist; a few issues of the internal publication, the Whetstone; several company calendars; and print materials from the Home Office 1963 ground-breaking and 1966 dedication, occurring during President Spaulding's tenure.
