Various publications issued by North Carolina Mutual. The earliest piece, circa 1917, is a pamphlet from the Life Extension Department of NC Mutual, by Medical Director Clyde Donnell, M.D., on the health risks associated with flies, especially the spread of diseases, giving advice on eliminating flies from human inhabitations. Other items include programs from memorial services; publications commemorating company anniversaries and the opening of new offices; The Mutual Album (a booklet containing photographs and biographies of NCM's founders and early employees); "Education in our Democracy" (a reprint of a speech that W.J. Kennedy, Jr. gave at Fort Valley State College); The Negro's Adventures in the Field of Life Insurance and Partners in Business (instructional tracts written by W.J. Kennedy, Jr. and Asa T. Spaulding, respectively); and various sales, promotional, and recruitment material, and training manuals. Arranged alphabetically by title or subject.
