Scope and content:

Dissertations that Nerlove acquired in a variety of ways, such as supervised or sat on the committee for, received from department for review as faculty member, received from author due to citation/similar research interest, or personally requested. Some were relocated from his original placement in his reprint files and a few are not in English. Includes prospectus/core of dissertation, annotated drafts, submitted/published version (sometimes bound--even hardcover--and/or signed), correspondence (letters and thank you cards), and related papers from same author. Arranged alphabetically by author's last name, some of whom can found elsewhere in the papers, such as as correspondents in the Alphabetical subseries, coauthors in the Writing series, or instructors in the Teaching by Others subseries.
