The Northern Railroad (sometimes called the Northern New Hampshire Railroad) was a U.S. railroad located in central New Hampshire. The Northern Railroad began its operations in 1847 and initially ran from Concord to West Lebanon, N.H., though it expanded to White River Junction, Vermont, in 1848. This expansion connected Northern with the Vermont Central Railroad and the Connecticut and Passumpsic Rivers Railroad. In 1890 the Northern Railroad became part of the Boston and Maine Railroad.
