Brig. General (ret.) Stephen Zenakis, M.D. Senior Advisor to the Department of Defense on neurobehavioral conditions and medical management, he has assisted the defense of several Guantanamo detainees and published important articles on the use of "enhanced interrogation" techniques. He discusses the conflict of dual loyalty that medical professionals face in the U.S. Military, and shares his experiences working as medical professional in the army while adhering to the medical code of ethics. He also recalled colleagues who resisted pressures to break their ethical code and paid a personal price for it.
