Collection comprises three letters Edmund Quincy wrote to abolitionist and women's rights advocate Parker Pillsbury, primarily regarding reminiscences of Quincy's father, and exchanges of books and pamphlets.

Biographical / historical:

Edmund Quincy, an author and reformer, was the second son of Josiah Quincy III and Eliza Susan Morton Quincy. He was an abolitionist editor and also the author of a biography of his father, a romance, Wensley (1854), and The Haunted Adjutant and Other Stories (1885).

Acquisition information:
The Edmund Quincy Letters were received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a purchase in 2016.
